Hyperbolic raises $30 million to build a global AI compute orchestration platform
Hyperbolic announced $30 million in Series A1 financing led by Walden Catalyst, with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, Salience Capital, and strategic investors. The company will use the capital to advance Forge, its unified control plane for AI compute, expand multi-cloud orchestration and related services, and develop what it calls a Global Compute Grid. Hyperbolic’s stated objective is to make fragmented GPU capacity easier to discover, operate, finance, and allocate across providers. The announcement also describes a future in which AI agents could acquire compute capacity within defined budgets and policies. These product ambitions are confirmed company plans, while adoption, capacity growth, and future hiring numbers were not disclosed. For candidates, the financing is a credible signal that Hyperbolic is investing in infrastructure software and commercial execution at a time when access to accelerators, utilization, and cost control remain major constraints for AI companies.
