Privacy, in plain English

You decide whether analytics run.

Flags uses optional analytics to understand which company signals help readers make better career decisions. Analytics and Google Analytics load only after you choose “Accept analytics”. The site still works if you choose necessary only.

What we collect

Useful, limited signals

With consent, we record pages visited, approximate active reading time, referral source, actions such as opening a source or running Role Check, device type, browser, operating system, language and timezone.

Approximate location

City-level, never precise

On the first page of a session, the server may use ipwho.is to translate an IP address into an approximate city, region and country. The raw IP is not saved in the analytics file. VPNs and mobile networks can make the location inaccurate.

What we avoid

No form contents

We do not record job descriptions, search text or other form contents. Visitors are shown in admin under a random pseudonymous identifier; this does not reveal a person’s real identity.

Retention & control

90 days maximum

First-party analytics events are automatically removed after 90 days. You can withdraw consent at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. This stops future collection on that browser.

Your choice

Review your analytics preference

Opening settings lets you accept optional analytics or continue with necessary-only storage.

Google Analytics is provided by Google. Approximate geolocation is provided by ipwho.is. Necessary local storage is used for preferences such as followed companies and your analytics choice. For privacy questions, contact contact@andivio.com.
