Softcat agrees to acquire GDT and retain its leadership and workforce

Softcat agreed to acquire US technology-solutions provider GDT to create a transatlantic IT services platform spanning data centers, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, AI and workplace solutions. GDT said it will retain its name, leadership team and workforce as a wholly owned subsidiary, while the companies plan to expand GDT’s Global Operations Center in Bangalore. Closing is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to approvals.
